Glen Milner is an RTS award-winning, Grierson-nominated filmmaker from Yorkshire, England.

Starting in camera teams on films like Terrence Malick’s The Tree of Life, he developed a striking visual style in documentary storytelling. His early shorts for Channel 4 and National Geographic, including Return of the Sun, won multiple awards, while further commissioned works like Elders screened at BAFTA and Academy Award-qualifying festivals worldwide.

His long-form documentaries for Disney+, LucasFilm, and the BBC often explore complex subjects but with an intimate approach, blending personal storytelling with a cinematic lens. This has led to critical acclaim as well as director and cinematography awards at the Royal Television Society. Recent projects include Tribeca nominated Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds (Tribeca 2023 / Disney+) and now North, a BFI-backed feature documentary currently in production capturing the changing landscapes of post-industrial Britain.
